I stayed here for a conference that was at the Wynn. I enjoyed my stay at Encore until my last night. After a long day at the conference I headed up to my room around 10:30pm. I had to get up early the next morning for the last day of the conference. When I got to my room the key(s) would not work to unlock the door. I tried for several minutes then headed down to the front desk. I waited in line and a nice young man I think his name was Adam assisted me. He gave me two new keys and told me those should work. I went back up to the room, and nothing. They didn't work. I went back down for a second time, waited in line and Adam assisted me again. He gave me another set of new keys, and told me if they didn't work, it is a problem with the lock itself and that he would send security up and that they would already be up there by the time I got to my room. I went back up and the second new set of keys didn't work. I went over to the elevators and called security myself. They came and two different security personal tried to get me in my room and they couldn't. They informed me that it is the lock itself and they will have to send the locksmith. The locksmith came and within minutes opened my door. After all of this back and forth, it was midnight. It took an hour and a half to get in my room. One security guard said that this was unacceptable and went on his way. The next morning, I made it a point to check out with the front desk and let them know about the situation last night. I was assisted by different young man. He seemed disingenuous to the situation and proceeded to charge the resort fee. I did not complain or ask for anything. My mistake was assuming that the hotel would be more accommodating to situations like these. Nope.
