  • To be completely honest I did not have a good experience, BUT the pan roast was delicious and that is why my rating is 4 stars. The service on the other hand.... It started off with the boyfriend and I deciding at 2AM to get some late dinner. He was excited to bring me to this place because he claimed the wait was worth it. Horrible idea to go to this place when your stomach is already starved.... Major downside is there is no place to sit while waiting in line for hours. We waited the average amount of two hours to be seated. At this point I am cranky/hangry. Only because the server was extremely slow (I'm going to say maybe it was because he was exhausted). Instead of cleaning tables and seating people as quickly as possible, he let 10 seats empty (people left at different times) until he finally cleaned up and seated people. This place seats a total of 18...... Finally seated and excited to get some food. We ordered the combo pan roast and combo gumbo, both five stars. Let me say we were second to place our food order as the people next to us ordered first (they were seated first, we were seated second). The food is now coming out, but the confused server decides to give our pan roast to another couple and bags up the gumbo thinking it was an error....... The worst part was that the couple pointed in our direction I'm assuming they were saying we placed our order first... But they still ate the given pan roast. My boyfriend speaks up and the server is apologetic and can see I am extremely agitated from hunger. He says he is sorry and gives us a bowl of clam chowder to tide us over a little. He promises that to apologize for the wait and error we will only be charged for one entree. Finally! We got our food. The pan roast was extremely delicious. The gumbo was not our cup of tea. We got 5 star heat but the heat felt more like an 8 or 9.. We're not sure if that was another error made by the server/chef. Meanwhile, there was a party of four ladies that got seated the same time as us. The server messed up three of the ladies orders...... I personally do not think that the food is worth the (2+ hour) wait and slow service.
