| - Came here a few nights ago with my sister since she's a big fan of the place which is funny because First Food & Bar has been on my agenda for a while now. She's usually here for lunch, but as we were looking through our menu our host swapped them out for dinner menu instead.
We sat by the window with the view of T.I. and north of the strip which was nice at first, but the Pallazo sign was too much of a distraction as the dinner progress. Almost like strobe lights and "robot" movements. Well, not that bad but you get the idea.
Our Server, Caesar, started us off with ice water and the warm pretzels with 3 different mustard dipping sauce before our drinks came out: Cucumber Gimlet for her and Dr Brown's Black Cherry Soda for me. Yum!
We went through with Caesar's recommendation on their signature dishes and couldn't be more pleased.
Chicken Lollipop Wings: Nice basket of the drumlets in their hot sauce serve with their own mash up blue cheese dipping sauce. Tried with ranch, but the blue cheese compliment the wings more which is weird because I'm a ranch guy.
Philly Cheese Steak Dumplings: 5 piece of dumplings packed with cheese steak and whiz served with a sirracha/ketchup aioli and topped with sliced banana peppers.? It's good and taste like regular dumplings, but 14bucks for this app? That's something to ponder about.
Sliders: 4 mini burgers stacked with caramelized onions, tomato, lettuce, pickle, and their version of a thousand island sauce. Freakin' Awesome!! My sis and I were just craving In-and-Out and we just so happen to have these sliders which were just as delightful.
Side of Mac and Cheese w/ truffle: Now this is different. Has 3 type of cheese I never heard of let alone pronounce it, and it was pretty intense. I think it was like 7bucks for a side.
For dessert we went with her favorites, donuts! These donuts came with a strawberry jam, chocolate, and caramel dipping sauce. I don't know how, but we manage to eat it all.
On our way out we took a photo in photo booth for a dollar. It was a perfect way to end a meal.
I'd like to think First Food and Bar is bar food done right. They really know how to flair things up, and I'm a huge fan of bar food already. A little on the pricey side (our meal came out to $80), but well worth the experience. Would def come back to try other dishes.
