rev:text	This is my first experience with shaved ice, so I decided to give it four stars. Maybe once I try a few other places, it might get bumped down, who knows? I still have to try Frost Bites Shavery, since Lon L. says it's the best! But I have yet to make it over there, and this place is so close to my new residence. So it is more convenience than anything at this point. But that does not take away how yummy my experiences with the Purple Penguin have been so far. I had not had a snowcone in years, so walking up to the stand had me a little nervous. I had no idea what to order, or what would taste good. The girl at the window was very helpful, answering all my questions, such as, "Cream?..... What is this 'cream' stuff you put on it?" In the end, I decided to order the medium size, Tiger's Blood flavor, with cream AND ice cream. That shiz was so amaze-balls, especially on a hot Las Vegas summer day! And the flavor suggestion was on point!! Tiger's Blood ftw :) Despite the odd name, it's the first one I tried, and now I think I will be getting it every time hereafter. The next day, I was back. This time, I had Tiger's Blood and Pineapple, half-and-half. Still amaze-balls. The cool thing is they have a punch card program, where any size gets you a stamp. After nine, the tenth (any size) is free! And if you have your handy-dandy Yelp App ready, you get a free stamp with check-in. That alone is a pretty darn good reason to come here. Side Note: They use "Square" here, so don't be afraid if you are low on cash money and have to use a card. A little bummed about the fact that they charge you an extra 50 cents to use it, but it is nice they have it I guess.
