I went into this show hearing all the horrible reviews and laughable attendance, so my expectations were already pretty low. If you are not willing to get into the mind/ dream world of Criss Angel then of course you are going to hate it. Don't go if you are expecting a Cirque show either as the only Cirque thing about it was the costumes. The Magic was mediocre, standard, and predictable. I did enjoy the story line but someone needs to tell Mr. Angel to either get acting lessons or stick or a magic only show. The story was about good and evil in the mind of Criss Angel.
All and all it was entertaining for me and reminded me of a Salvador Dali piece of art with a pulse. If you can't appreciate that then don't go. I get what he was trying to do. It was a big production and thought it was a 7 out of 10, and I think that is generous. The theatre was packed for this particular show and the interaction with the audience was great. I found Criss Angel to be such a positive and uplifting person and you can hear it in his voice when he speaks to the audience that he appreciates the audience and his fans.
The good news about this show is that I hear it will be revamped in the near future and I will look forward to see the new show.
