| - I gave terés the opportunity to respond to me via email or phone prior to posting this review. It has now been over three weeks, and no one from terés has reached out to me to discuss our experience further. They confirmed that they received my email and asked for my phone number to discuss the issue; however, no one has called or responded since.
My husband and I made an appointment at terés several weeks in advance, knowing that we would be leaving for our destination wedding. I scheduled a gel manicure (a 45-minute service, per their website) and gel pedicure (a 55-minute service, per their website) for myself and a regular manicure (a 35-minute service, per their website) and pedicure (a 35-minute service, per their website) for my husband. Both were scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. My husband's pedicure began later, as his specialist walked into the salon with her purse after my pedicure had already began, as if she was possibly late for her 10 a.m. appointment. My specialist did a great job on both my pedicure and manicure, which is the only reason I've rated it two stars. My husband was not given the additional time on the foot massage as I had requested while scheduling the appointments, since I knew his pedi would not take as long as mine. Neither of us were offered any additional services at all (hot/cold towels, salt or sugar scrubs, etc.); however, the two guests sitting next to us were both offered hot towels. In total between my husband's pedicure and manicure, he was given about 25 minutes of service. The rest was waiting for me to be done. Once finished, we paid our $160+ w/ tip and left. When we got in our car, the time was 10:50 a.m. Let me remind you that our appointments began at 10 a.m. I was scheduled for a 10 a.m. gel pedicure and 10:55 a.m. gel manicure. My husband was scheduled for the same. For both of us to be done by 10:50 a.m., before my second appointment was even scheduled to begin, was not satisfactory to us. I suppose we were thinking my husband would have a longer massage if he was done earlier than me. His nails were not cleaned either.
When you make an appointment at a nail salon and pay the price we paid to do so, you walk in with the impression that you are going to leave feeling good, refreshed, and pampered. We left feeling rushed and dissatisfied. We will not be returning to terés, nor would we ever recommend terés to anyone. This was the worst nail experience we've ever had.
In my opinion, you will have a much better and cheaper experience somewhere else. This is particularly unfortunate since our understanding is that this a small, locally-owned business where you would expect to receive the small-business experience.
