  • I'm a Vegas native who currently lives in DC. When I heard about about The Writer's Block opening, I subscribed to their listserv (even though I'm on the other side of the country), hoping that I would be able to stop by on my next visit home - it was so cool to learn that an independent bookstore was opening up in Vegas - not a common sight in Sin City. After more than a year, I FINALLY made it over to check it out today. Nice store, great selection of books, and the room in the back, where I guess they host readings and workshops is really spacious. I hope more Vegans stop by to support the store - it is a rare gem that I hope leads to other spaces for literary engagement in this city.
