  • Ahh Tom another of your restaurants I have tried that is just not as good as I think it should be. I don't know if I am prejudiced against you because you are top chef king and I just expect so much out of your food. I told my daughter I wish I could serve you your recipe and one similar and see if you could tell the difference and if you even would like yours better. I visited your heritage steak house and did not like it. I liked craftsteak a lot more than heritage but still wasn't wowed I started off with the Caesars salad because it is my favorite. Your version was ok. Dressing wasn't great and those big whole anchovies grossed me out. For my entree had the beef short ribs. They were very good. I also ordered risotto instead of potatoes and wished I hadn't. Risotto was supposed to have pancetta which I thought would give it nice salty flavor but I didn't taste that at all and it was so al dente to the point of almost crunchy that I just didn't like it. For dessert I had the monkey bread which I thought I would love but I hated the brown sugar ice cream it came with because of a weird aftertaste and thought there were way too many raw pecans on the dessert. Service was great.
