This is the second time I have had an issue with this airline!! Their policy is to pass the buck and not take responsibility for anything!! I booked my flight 2 months in advance to get 2 seats together for me and my 6 year old son. When I get here to check my bag they tell me we are not seated together!!! I called 800 number, basically it's my fault because I should called Alaska airlines to confirm my seats!! When I get to the counter they tell me there is no guarantee to sit together because if they change planes then all the seating arrangements change!! Are you serious!!! No guarantee I can sit with my young child!! Why do they even give you options to pick your seats if there is no guarantee!!! No where on any website or conformation does it say you need to check in the day before to pick you me seats.. This is just very inconvenient, and my son and I are here at the airport practically in tears because we don't know if we can sit together.. I don't travel very often and you would think the airlines would have a better practice. Last time there was a screw up, we pretty much had toilet seats. There was no more room for overhead storage. We had to put our carry on, jackets and booster seat under our feet for a 3 hours flight. I was just told by Alaska airline agent that they are not suppose to do that. But nobody offered me any other option.. Only 1 star because on our prior flight the pilot let my son sit in the cockpit... #tears ... The supervisor decided to refund me my seat upgrade fee. That was nice for the stressful situation..
