| - I suggest to stay away from Lowe's if you are getting new flooring. We went to the one on Craig & Jones & ordered carpet. We picked out 1 for our stairs & a different carpet for 2 of our bedrooms. It all had to be special ordered. When it came in, I took off work to help husband since we have 2 small children to deal with & 2 rooms of furniture to move (crib, loft disassembled, twin bed, king bed, multiple dressers, personal stuff, etc), which included our children's room. Well, Lowe's screwed up the order & swapped areas. This was discovered by ME when the installers came to put it in. We received NO call from Lowe's. I tried calling them twice. The second time, talked to a manager. He said he'd get back to me. He didn't. After 24 hours, I called the number on their site. I was promised a call or it would escalate to a senior management team. I got a call later that day, but since it was a Saturday, they couldn't tell me anything. They couldn't even verify if it was reordered or not. They called me on Monday & said it had been reordered & would be there in 2 weeks. So, they clearly didn't expedite it. She also couldn't tell me if they could compensate us for our headache until AFTER the job was done. Uhhh..what? We paid for the carpet in FULL before it was even ordered. I have family coming into town Sunday & our upstairs is torn up with furniture out in the hallway, etc. Everything up there is a mess because we don't want to move stuff back. The beds & crib all had to be put back together obviously. After being loyal shoppers at Lowe's...no more. Never again. So just a warning if you have plans to order flooring in the near future. I'd stay clear unless you want a big headache.
