| - So we called and they said they have no spots for a table of 2 until 8:30 PM, when we arrived to our reservation early, we noticed that they have many (more than half) of the tables open and empty. I don't really know why they have all these tables if they aren't going to fill them...
After we were seated, we looked over the menu and ordered the warm duck salad, curry lamb, hamachi grapefruit, the fluke and one of their specials. Overall the food was excellent, the duck was tasty and tender, the lamb was amazing and a must! The hamachi was good and the grapefruit complimented it well but they went a little to heavy on the sauce, I ended up pour out the sauce (it was plated on spoons) before eating it. The fluke was OK, it tasted a little off, I don't know what exactly was the problem but there was something just not quite right about it. The worst dish of the night was their special fish on the menu. They had described it in a way, where both my boyfriend and I expected it to be cooked but not deep fried. They has described it as fish that was drizzled in hot oil but when it was placed on the table, it just looked like deep fried fish balls... In addition, the fish was overcooked. The meat was dry and tough and the fish bone chips tasted burnt.
Despite that, overall I did have a good meal, while I'm not sure if the food was worth the bill (most of the dishes are very expensive) I didn't regret eating here and would go back for the lamb...
Solid 4 stars, but not a 5
