Not my favorite trail at Red Rock, but I could see it being a good beginner's trail. It's about 3 miles round trip and takes about 2 hours if you do the entire loop.
There are opportunities to take different paths, some of which may end up nowhere. But if you stick to the main path, you'll go past the burned brush area, you'll see the foundation of an old house that used to be there, you'll see a creek, and you'll loop back around to the parking lot area eventually.
The trail is pretty flat with the exception of a short area in the middle where you walk on rocks a bit. My girlfriends and I actually ran part of the trail since it was flat and open. Again, not my favorite but an easy way to spend the morning or afternoon.
