| - Today was the fifth time I've been into Kid to Kid. The store is a children's used clothing, toys, books, etc. chain where you can find a few good deals. Generally the store has been clean, well organized, and fun to shop at... until today. To my surprise, the radio station at this location was being controlled by a few employees while the manager had stepped out for a few minutes. So my two year old got to hear Jay-Z for the first time! And Nirvana, and a few other choice hip-hop songs... this would be fine anywhere other than a store that is made for very young children. When I want Shawn Carter to drop knowledge on my child, I should be the one saying when and where! And it isn't going to be at Kid to Kid.
So, I call the store after my attempt to log a complaint on their website failed. The manager informed me that they play a top forty Pandora station. I mentioned the possibility that the employees changed the station in her absence, offered to read some of the offending lyrics from Empire State of Mind, and waited for a genuine apology. Instead I received a buck passing, "The owner makes us play music." When I asked if I could speak to the owner, she told me I would just have to call back, as the owner rotated between the two South Charlotte stores.
Please take your money elsewhere or maybe you'll have to answer the question I did... Daddy, what did the man(Jay-Z) mean when he said, "Mommy took a bus trip, now she got her bust out, Everybody ride her just like a bus route."
Thanks Kid to Kid!
