  • 3.5 Stars Came here to have dinner with my brother for his birthday, just doing something low key since he has to go to work the next day. An interesting bistro fusion concept by Chef Jose Andres mixing Chinese and Mexican flavors. The place has a cantina vibe to it with bicycle wheels and lanterns on the ceiling. We ordered a variety of items: Dan Dan Mien, Viva China tacos (beef tendon/Kumamoto oyster), Papas fritas (Fries with XO Sauce), Har Gau, Carnitas Tacos, and the fresh guacamole and the Tres Lychees for dessert. The combinations were excellent but not as crazy as I thought it would be (good/bad). Service was good as well and drinks were rarely empty, a good sign. Maybe I was expecting more cross over between the two styles otherwise it felt like two restaurants in one.
