| - My saga with Greencare has now gone on for 10 Months! Once I signed the contract and paid and the work was over I still had things that needed to be taken care of. This is what happened.
The first installation of pavers I have no problem with, they were beautiful, but they had to be replaced because of manufactured defects (manufacturer replaced them and covered the labor to Greencare) . The confirmation of the defects, removal, and re installation, took four long drawn out months!
A ton of phone calls, commitments, appointments, no shows, and set times not kept. I had to chase them and I still can't get it done because they commit and don't deliver. I have damages from the second installation four months ago. I am still waiting for defective cap stones to be replaced from the first installation. I gave up waiting for my driveway to be fixed where they dropped bricks after I let them know both times to put down plywood (its a brand new house), I had someone else repair it because we got tired of waiting and getting nowhere.Got my scratched gates done by them but my damaged air conditioner which was scratched, painted, then a botched paint job and promises to fix it, and is still not done. We have heard it all. They have excuses for everything, we give up, we had the house painted and stucco repair done by someone else, we got tired of waiting.
You have crews who arrive who don't even know what they are supposed to do at your house or they do it wrong and damage your property. On top of that they argue with you if you point out that they are doing it wrong, and still you wind up with the problem in the end and when you ask that it be fixed you get nowhere.
You have to babysit some of the crews and watch what they are doing and make them keep to what is in the contract.
They make promises and you have to fight with them to get them to live up to what they committed to do, and you have to chase them to get them to do it, and then they never call you back with any update. But they have a lot of excuses when you ask why they didn't do what they said they would do at the time they said they would do it. And a bunch of excuses when they finally show up. Lip Service!
Bottom line is they don't do things consistently crew to crew, and they have minimal supervision and oversight from the top. A lot of promises, apologies, poor delivery and a lot of excuses. I am still waiting for the repairs and damages done by their crew the second time they did my pavers and its been almost four months since replacement!
Just today my landscaper found they had hidden a water sprinkler under my $50.00 Golden Barrel cactus when they planted it. We were wondering why it was rotting. They told me they never put sprinklers under cactus. They put one right under the roots invisible. Now I have a dead $50.00 cactus! We have had to replace so many dead plants that were planted poorly.
Its hard to understand when you sign a contract, both parties commit to certain requirements and conditions, you live up to your end, but you have to fight to get the contractor to do what they promised. Disappointing.
