| - I have struggled in math since the 5th grade. My mom enrolled me in a different math center which focused on improving your skills from basic math to advanced math. You had to do assigned homework packets, did most of the work yourself, then had to go to the tutors to have it checked, then go back and figure out what you did wrong by yourself. I dreaded going and hated the extra work I had to do on top of my actual school homework. The place did not help very much other than improve my mental math skills. My mom realized that this place was not helping me and went on the search to find a new and better place for me. My mom discovered Mathnasium and I couldn't be happier. Mathnasium evaluates your strengths and weaknesses, then creates a book of worksheets to improve your skills that you lack. However, what really makes Mathnasium great is their focus on your math homework from school and the one-on-one attention. They will work with you as long as it takes, until you, the student, understands. When I started at Mathnasium I had a F in math, its been a slow progression but over the past 2 years, I went from a F, to a C, now to an A.
