| - I really disliked this place, and most of the food we ordered.
The decor is nice, black and white. With blue lighting along the bar and the kitchen, which is open (about a 1/3 wall) at the back of the restaurant.
The environment is odd. From the outside it looks like a typical classy restaurant, but once you're in it's a different story. "Yo cuz" is plastered all over the place, I'm guessing that's the chef's catchphrase. Several tv's around the room were playing Mystic River (a great movie but would not be my first choice for a dinner - the concept of having a distracting t.v. while in an " elegant" restaurant was off-putting) while funk and disco music played a little too loud.
They try to be trendy and modern, the menus are backlit and the server brings over and iPad that he uses to go over the specials and which serves as a cocktail menu/shop/dessert menu, but doesn't actually serve to order.
The servers were very professional and friendly, and provided their recommendations when we asked.
The fried mozzarella stack was very good, but a bit pricey. $22 seemed a bit much.
The main courses were not very good particularly when factoring in their cost. $28 for what amounted to 6 chicken fingers in marsala was a bit steep, and the carbonara, although a generous portion, was not very good either. The risotto was a little too al dente for my taste, although the portion was generous.
There are a lot of better dining options in Vegas.
