| - After dealing in Oklahoma nearly five years ago, I decided to take it up again and move out to Las Vegas. Before leaving Oklahoma, I looked around for a dealing school where I could brush up on my skills and learn to deal Dice as well. I decided on PCI after reading all of the great reviews of the school from former students and it definitely lives up to the hype!
I called the school to set up my enrollment and was met with prompt and constant communication from Jesse, the owner of PCI. This really eased my concerns about moving half way across the country by myself as he gave me all the materials I would need to start learning the games that night!
I arrived in Las Vegas on the night of January 1st 2018 and was able to start attending the school that next morning! As soon as I came through the door for the first time, Jesse walked right up, introduced himself and made me feel right at home getting started with my first game. He personally worked with me to get me up to speed so that I was able to participate with the rest of the class right away!
After just a week of practicing Black Jack (and learning to pitch from scratch) I accidentally found myself in an audition (originally had interviewed for a different position) to deal at a great casino in the area. And although it had been nearly 5 years since I last dealt in a Black Jack pit, PCI gave me the confidence, ability, and the skill to pass my audition with flying colors! Even if I hadn't gotten myself into this audition, I am confident the school's job placement program would have gotten me an audition elsewhere. Just the other day an HR representative of a popular strip casino came in to sign up students for auditions! Needless to say, the reputation of PCI proceeds itself when the jobs come to you!
I still attend the school daily, learning to deal Dice/Craps with (instructor) Claudia who goes out of her way constantly to ensure I am learning the deal the game properly. The instructors here will personally work with you on the most basic techniques such as cutting cheques, to managing your entire table and players in a way that will make you feel like a seasoned veteran!
The atmosphere is very conducive to learning, you'll actually enjoy going and playing with all of the other students; you might even make a few friends who may deal along side you at after you graduate! The school also allows you to come and go as you please so that you can learn at your own pace and attend around your own schedule. Overall I am very pleased with my experience thus far at PCI.
