We had an uneven experience during our one-night stay at the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa. We had a beautiful room on the 17th floor with a distant but expansive view of the Las Vegas Valley, including Downtown and the Strip. The room was well-appointed and nicely designed, although the flat screen TV didn't offer any premium channels. Odd. The bathroom contained two marble sinks with a separate soaking tub and shower, although the shower had a meager amount of water pressure. We heard the boisterous sounds of noisy children in a nearby room as we were trying to fall asleep. That was a surprise. The swimming pool was closed which was a disappointment but probably typical of many Las Vegas resorts in November, even though daytime temps get into the the 70's. The biggest disappointment was the lack of a fitness room, a glaring omission from a resort that advertises itself as a "Spa." The normal exercise area was relocated to a 5th floor meeting room because of a remodel of the spa area. The room was half the size of our hotel room with a handful of cardio machines and a small number of barbells. When we complained about being charged a resort fee that included access to the hotel "fitness room," the front desk reduced the fee by about a third. In my opinion the entire amount should have been refunded. One plus of the resort is its proximity to a relatively new shopping area in Las Vegas, "Downtown Summerlin." But the minuses at this resort outweigh the pluses. If you're thinking about staying in the Northwest part of town, the JW Marriott is a better choice.
