  • I was traveling through Nevada and I had a blowout. I called Tim Colton, the store manager at Superior Tire & Service, and discussed purchasing 4 new tires, an alignment and an oil change for my company Mercedes. He emailed me a quote, then I contacted him and I asked him if he could match Discount Tires pricing, and he did. Discount Tire had the tires in stock but I wanted to get the alignment as part of the repair, that's why I didn't go to Discount. Tim told me the rear tires were special order, so I had my company make payment arrangements. I got a hotel room and waited. On the third day, Tim's guys called and said the rear tires were in stock and to bring my car into the store and they could repair my Mercedes. Upon arrival, Tim asked for my keys, did not show any paperwork and said he had it all handled. The shop was empty and Tim put one guy on my car. After about an hour, I walked over to the door, peering through the glass just in time to see the drivers front new tire and rim fall 5' off my Mercedes, onto the concrete. The tire guy failed to put lug nuts on the rim and tire. Then, I asked one of the workers what type of oil they were using and I found they filled the engine with the wrong oil. I called the local Mercedes dealer immediately and I was told this could damage the motor because it did not meet the Mercedes required specifications. The workers said they would get the proper oil and finish the job. After waiting approximately 2.5 hours, I went outside and told Tim I had to get going since I had waited 3 days already. Tim had all of the other workers working on customers cars, that came in after my car. He started arguing, got loud in my face and yelled "the customer is always right." When I told Tim about the tire falling off, Tim said "its because the wind was blowing." I told him to cancel the alignment and finish my car immediately. I left without getting the alignment done. Superior Tire & Service and Tim Colton, extremely unprofessional, very amateurish, callused, dangerous and risky. Tim might have damaged the engine and not even said he was sorry, just an in your face rude response. Then his worker has the gall to say "we charged you another $50 but didn't charge you the full additional amount on the Mercedes certified oil," thinking a few dollars savings made up for potentially damaging the engine. Don't risk your vehicle being damaged or waste your time and money, go to a shop that takes the time to research and install the proper manufacturer's certified fluids and do your repair properly with professionalism and good customer service. My company spent almost $1100, I waited 3 days in a hotel and feel like I got taken advantage of, wasted 3 days of my life and got treated like shit. The funny thing is, on their service counter, they have a display asking for customers to go on YELP and write a review.
