rev:text	I took my dog here today for a dental consult since our vet recommended that we go there to have our puppy's teeth extracted. This was the first appointment they had after we called in OCTOBER. First we went just for the "consult" if you want to call it that and they told us what we already knew, then charged us 185$! Then they gave me an estimate of 800$ to put the dog under and have x-rays to find out what was wrong with the dog (which to me sounds like a consult) and a teeth cleaning. I then realized that teeth extractions weren't included on this price! So after all of that if we were to have any teeth extracted, it would cost more money! As I was about to go they then had all of these products out, which I thought they were going to give me since I did just pay 185$ for something I already knew but no... they each cost money. 17$ for a toothbrush and some tooth paste (more than my toothbrush and toothpaste cost), 27$ for some rawhide dental chews (insanity), and 55$ for 8 oz. of green drops to put in their water so it protects them against tartar (straight up highway robbery). My husband was furious when i got home and told him that we paid 185$ for nothing and then on top of that they wanted more for everything else so I went online to find other dental clinics closer to my house. The first one I called they told me it would cost 400$ for cleaning and X-ray and $20 a tooth to extract. LESS THAN HALF of what The Carolinas Animal Hospital wanted to charge us just for a teeth cleaning and X-ray. We then called and cancelled out 800$ "second consult and X-ray" and went with the other animal hospital. Do not go here if you want to be taken advantage of and charged absurd amounts of money for NOTHING.
