| - What a cute place! I love the comforting/cozy atmosphere at La Brioche. We had a very kind waitress who was personable and talkative, and the food was overall pretty good!
I started off with a butter croissant, which was very tasty. Only complaint is that the butter to spread onto the croissant wasn't very soft so it made it pretty difficult to spread, however the croissant tasted great without the extra butter :)
Each of us eating that morning ordered something different:
One friend had the Vanilla Challah French Toast -- made with crème Anglaise and her choice of berries (otherwise you can choose caramelized pecans and bananas). She absolutely loved it, and I had a bite and must say it was delicious! Definitely get this is you're looking for something sweet for breakfast.
On the other hand, my other friend and myself went with the savory options. I'm pretty sure my friend ordered something off of their breakfast specials menu -- which was made with potatoes, eggs, veggies (mushrooms, peppers, onions, etc.) and she opted to add breakfast sausage into the mix as well. It looked great, and she said she really liked it!
For me, I had the Feta Scramble -- made with eggs, feta, sundried tomatoes, and arugula. It was served with the organic spring mix salad and a slice of baguette on the side. While the scramble was good, I don't think I'd get it again. It felt as though there was not much egg in the scramble, and there was a lot of arugula. I love arugula, but I felt like there was something lacking -- maybe some meat? I think next time I would ask to add sausage to it or go with another menu item, since I left satisfied, but not very full. If I wouldn't have had the croissant beforehand, I think I would have still been hungry after eating!
Overall, I really do like La Brioche and I know I'll be making return visits in the future! I'd love to try their Pesto "Green Eggs and Ham" Scramble next time. Their menu seems a bit more expensive than other breakfast options in the area -- but I think the extra few dollars are worth it every once in a while :)
