  • Working in Toronto and staying at the Royal York for several weeks. The hotel is under renovation but even the older rooms are in good shape. The beds are comfortable. The location is central...especially close to Union Station from where I can catch the subway pretty much any place I want to go . When the new rapid train starts going between Union and Pearson airport...that will be amazing. All that said, the staff are what really set this hotel a part. Extremely caring, reliable and accommodating. Caught a cold on the airplane and spent the day in my hotel room instead of going to the office. Called down for extra kleenex and they brought me a complimentary bowl of home made chicken noodle soup and a get well card. In my many hotel stays that has never happened. Totally impressed!!!!!!!
