I was really hoping to be a fan of this place. I love that they have a market and a restaurant tethered together. I figured that because of this, there'd be a good chance that their menu items would be fresher than most other places.
I came here once before (for a to-go order) and wasn't all that impressed with the food or service. I figured it may have been an off day and I told myself I'd give them a second chance. Well, as luck would have it, Amazon Restaurants sent me a $20 gift card so I decided to give it another go. All I can say is that I'm glad the meal was practically free.
The chicken was skimpy. The tabouli had hard particles in it which I about cracked a tooth on. There was a spoonful of hummus (like 2 bites worth) and the rice, which was most of the meal, was not edible. The only way I can describe it is that the rice had the same flavor that Subway sandwiches have when they throw them on that black mat in the oven to heat up...you know that pungent chemically scent that tastes as bad as it smells.
I really didn't eat much of anything other than pita bread and tzatziki sauce. The worst part was that I was excited to let my youngest taste baklava for the 1st time. I ordered 4 pieces and got nothing...nada...zero...zilch.
I don't operate on the three strikes rule and there are plenty of Mediterranean joints around the valley to choose from that have better food for the same price.
