After a decidedly successful excursion at the St Lawrence Market, I'd worked up a sufficient appetite. I passed Le Papillon on my way home and, while it was past my normal brunch time, I was starving, it was empty, so I went in.
Good:
- the service was good (minus the normal Toronto "please fill my water glass as I am DYING OF THIRST m.o.)
- my latte was good, but not as good as Bar One
- my Ouefs Florentine were good
- the hollandaise sauce was delish -- super lemony and buttery
Bad:
- my eggs weren't nearly as hot as they should have been
- the portions were okay
Overall, my experience was good, but nothing more than good. I probably wouldn't go back, although the crepes sounded interesting. A good place for a good egg, but that's about it.
