I saw a news update about this recently and decided to go just check it out after work since it is fairly close by and easy to get. So right after work through rush hour I made my way out to Verona.
I noticed that there are two parking areas and opted to pass on the one located on Old Sauk Rd as it was really crowded. I followed the signs and parked on the opposite end on Black hawk Rd.
Once you parked there is a bit of an incline to make it up to hill. As soon as you are up you can see the over 500,000 sunflowers full in bloom! Simply amazing.
This is a free event or I suggest to donate to the conservancy. You can walk around as much as you want, it's a good place to bring your kids and enjoy the bloom and all of the bumblebees flying around and eating nectar.
