I've worked at my share of child care centers, 6 to be exact. I used to work at this Bridges location almost 3 years ago and I still brag to my family about how wonderful this job was. Unfortunately I had to leave because I moved to a different city and the drive was too far.
The reason this establishment is so great is because they hold everyone to a higher standard. I worked at other day cares where they hire you and immediately throw you into a classroom by yourself just to have a body in a room. But with Bridges preschool they didn't leave me by myself for at least the first month because it was during my training period. They made sure I had all the qualifications and knew all of the guidelines and rules of the center before being left to my own devices. On top of that all teachers need to be currently enrolled in college or have a degree related to early childhood development which is amazing.
Something original about Bridges is that they do not have a typical lunch program. The parents pack their child's lunch everyday and are encouraged to provide healthy choices like fresh fruits and veggies, lean meats and whole grains.
The curriculums are well thought out and personally created by the teachers. Phonics, Spanish and sign language are all included. This was by fat my favorite part of my job!
Hopefully you give this center a shot, you won't be disappointed!
