| - The Kensington Pub (or KP for short) has been a stand-by and go-to pub for as long as I've been in town. The atmosphere is laid back and unpretentious, which is a very refreshing change for Calgary in general and the Kensington area specifically.
A decent selection of wines and beers, and a menu that's revised often but consistent in quality. This visit, untried their chicken curry "poutine". Yummy curried chicken, if a little mild in the spice department, on a be of house-made fries. For $10, it was a deal. Portion was huge, though, and I couldn't finish it all.
As an example of the popularity of this place, as I was waiting for my friend, to my left was a group of friends from the U of C, and to my right was my uncle and aunt with heir friends. We ha not planned this; the KP was just where we all wanted to go.
Try this place out. You won't be disappointed.
