I took my truck in for service on 7/6/2013 and did a nice $729 thorough inspection and recommended maintenance. It was in the shop for about 3 or 4 hours, so I figured they'd go through and make sure everything was good. Well I recently took it back in on 9/25/2013 which is after my warranty expired in late July, and suddenly I have 3 broken motor mounts at 68K miles that need to be replaced for about $1000! I briefly mentioned "Well that's odd that they were fine last time during the thorough inspection and then break within 3 months." They just acted like this was normal and said it needs to be fixed on the next time I brought it in. I contacted consumer affairs and they took 2 weeks to get back to me with an answer of "Well since you are out of warranty, we can't help you and we're closing this case". I then said "Well A) Negligent maintenance was done during my "thorough" inspection that I paid $730 for, or B) They saw it and said to wait until my next inspection since my warranty is almost up". Needles to say, Nissan as a whole uses crappy parts because I've been hearing of others needing engine parts right after warranty expiration at under 70k miles. Is there a yelp page for the whole company???
