$29 per day BOGUS Resort Fees and NOW they've ADDED a $15 transaction fee if you chose to call to make a reservation vs. trying to book a room via their app while driving.
A (2) day stay = $29 * 2 days = $58 plus $15 Transaction Fee = $73 in BOGUS fees for 2 night stay.
Any hotel that charges a resort fee starts at one star for me. They could earn back a point or two if I were blown away with service, but their starting point is 1 star due to the bogus resort fees.
Go across the street! Gold Coast Resort fee = $17.91 per night, NO transaction fee. AND they are renovated - nice rooms .. Rio added new headboards and call it a renovated room. It's Disgusting - OLD room from the 70's.
Largest bar on the casino floor is closed Sun-Thurs. A lot of retail space empty and boarded up. You could shoot a canon through the place and not hit a sole, BUT they're holding strong to their $29 Bogus Resort Fee.
Bartenders are rude and talk about their union a lot. I found the bartenders at Gold Coast MUCH more friendly. Rio charges your bank account a $50 deposit for in-house charges, BUT try. Just try to open a bar tab and charge it to your room. The union bartenders tell you that you don't have charging privileges.
I'm done with Rio and Caesar's Entertainment. Take your Resort Fees and cram it !!
