Been bowling at Arsenal for 25 years (Started as a child in the Saturday Strikers). This used to be a great place but I was severely disappointed in our last visit. We planned a group outing with family we don't get to see often to have some drinks and bowl. We called and were told to come at 3pm on Saturday and bowling would be open until 5:30pm. We showed up at 3 and were told the back lanes were 21 and over and we were welcome to go back there since everyone in our party was over 21. First sign of trouble starts when the bartender wouldn't serve my 56 year old mother without ID, (She left it at home). No big deal my wife went and got her a drink. Second problem is no pitchers, I'm not sure I have ever been to a bowling alley where we couldn't get a pitcher to make things easier on a lane with 10 people, especially in a "21 and over section".
Biggest problem is we were told bowling would run until 5:30 but the top of our scoring machines were flashing LANES OFF AT 4:55 and ON TOP of that they stopped us around 4:00 and said we would have to stop for 10 minutes while they reoiled the lanes. They stopped ALL lanes even though the guy started at the far end of the lanes, we ended up losing out on about 20 minutes of bowling time for their "10 minute" stoppage. We had to rush to finish our second game to meet their 4:55 "LANES OFF". Frustrating experience all around after having family drive over an hour to get there.
Sorry to say next time we will find somewhere that appreciates the business.
