| - If I can sum Vegas nightlife in one sentence, it would be: If you don't have table/bottle service, your experience would not be anything more than three stars.
I can't stress this enough. I've been on both sides of the ropes. It's miserable when you're only on the guest list or pay for general admission. There's nowhere to sit or stand and it will be crowded AF. Don't forget sweaty and sticky AF. Even worse if you're a guy. At least girls can flirt their way in to perhaps an all-male bachelor's VIP table. So do yourself a favor, find a way to get bottle service so you'll have a good time. That way, you won't come on Yelp and give such low ratings. It's not just this nightclub's fault that it's crowded. In fact, ALL VEGAS NIGHTCLUBS WILL BE BEYOND CROWDED. That's just the way it is. I don't care if you have general admission to a big club like Omnia, you'll STILL have a shitty time because you're jammed packed with the rest of general admission. Yes, drinks are expensive....even water. Sorry, not only is this Vegas...but this is a nightclub ON THE STRIP. They're gonna charge you premium and then some.
(I should really copy/paste the above paragraph to all my nightclub reviews from now on.)
Enough Nightclub 101.....what is Jewel Nightclub like? This is where Haze used to be. Still the same layout. They just gave it a makeover. It's one of the smaller clubs on the strip. Smaller than Omnia but larger than Tao/The Bank. Maybe the same size as Light? There is a second level balcony area. I've seen people hang out there and there are VIP tables as well. Tables on the dance floor are more expensive than the tables on the second level. Be sure to specify what you're looking for.
There are tables on a raised level on the dance floor area. However, I wasn't a fan of that because of the low ceilings. It was low and dark. Glad we were able to join another table on the main dance floor when Steve Aoki came on. He was freaking amazing. Such high energy and played a really good tracklist. I must, and will, see him again!!!!
Female bathrooms were pretty spacious. And by spacious...I mean there were plenty of bathroom stalls. PLENTY. There must be at least 7 on the left and 7 on the right side. Both times I went, the stalls were clean and didn't smell like shi* or vomit. Sink section was on the smaller side. No fancy smancy mirrors or lighting for selfies here, ladies. Wash your hands and move it along.
Since this is owned by Hakkasan Group, expect pretty big DJs to play here. Our cocktail waitress was very friendly and she checked up on us all night even though we were a smaller group. Didn't encounter any problems with rude security or any other staff members. Will this be a repeat club for me? Sure, if Steve Aoki is back in town.
