  • Everyone said it was worth the wait...so I waited....and waited....and waited.... We waited nearly 2 hours on a Monday night at 5:15 pm. Finished eating at 9 pm. That's nearly 4 hours folks. The couple in front of me joked that we could have flown to NYC in that time and had a round of oysters in the same amount of time. I swear when the waitress told us to sit down I felt like we had won the Olympics. -1 star. We each had a dozen oysters, and our waitress didn't shuck them completely, so the oyster was still attached by that membrane thingie. This made slurping impossible, so we had to use the little fork to pry 24 oysters out of its shell. - 1 star. Then we had to wait for the pan roast to be completed. The chef was not exactly speedy gonzalez. Granted he only had 6 steamers to work with, but when we realized half the people weren't eating we sank into deeper depression. Yes the pan roast was delicious. But it wasn't knock me over delicious. I think we were so green by that time, nothing could be THAT delicious. If there was less of a wait, and if this restaurant was more centrally located, I might consider going back. But since this place is an actual out of the way destination, and that the wait time is always bad no matter what time of day, I can't say that I will be back anytime soon.
