  • From the moment we went to this studio we started on a "bad foot" as it were. I decided to enroll my, then, 4 year old daughter in dance classes and this studio had good reviews here on Yelp. We enrolled her and drove out to pick up all the start-up items for her class. When we arrived we were told they had no stock but told us when to come back to pick up all the items. We arrived on the date at the time they had specified and no one was there, the studio was closed. Turns out they had a meeting that day at another location. The owner did try to make good on this and offered us a discount for the inconvenience, which I do not believe we received when I was finally able to pick up the items. On the first day of class the dance instructor never introduced herself to the parents nor was she available after class for newcomer questions - she literally avoided all contact with parents and dashed from the room the minute class was over. This was her routine after each class, as I tried to catch her for the next few weeks and finally gave up. To date I have never seen the dance instructor smile nor be in any way friendly with the girls. As a matter of fact on our 2nd class my daughter's ballet shoe came untied and instead of helping her tie the shoe the instructor curtly shoved the laces into the shoe and told my daughter to continue. I watched as my daughter very politely asked 3 more times for help tying her shoe as it was uncomfortable shoved in like that, to which the instructor just ignored her. At this point I entered the class (parents aren't allowed in, they can watch through a window) and I tied her shoe so she could join back in. Furthermore, no one ever answers the phone when you call but you are encouraged to either email them or leave a message. I have never once received a returned email, and have left multiple messages that were never returned. These classes are not cheap and I don't feel I am getting my money's worth at all. Needless to say, we will be trying another dance studio. Best of luck to those who try. ***Update, I finally received a call back and they were extremely apologetic and pleasant about the situation. They did offer to make it up to us and though we will probably not take their offer, I respect and appreciate their attempt to make things right. I have increased my rating as a result.
