A few weeks ago while in Toronto I was on the Dundas West streetcar, and just looking out the window there were so many restaurants we passed that i knew i had to try on my next visit. After being at Dark Horse the previous day, i was so underwhelmed by my latte, that i had reservations about shelling out $4 for a latte. We walked into Ella's, it is quite small but they have seating for about 6, even though most of their traffic is just walk in. The latte was hot, the textured milk was creamy, and the latte art was beautiful. At Ella's they also make baked goods in house. I had the cheese and bacon scone, the flavour was good but the texture was off, it was too spongy. This area is heavily concentrated with cafes, but Ella's stands out and i cannot wait to come back on my next trip.
