  • Seriously, how is this a functioning business? How has the government not shut them down? It's insane. We rented through E-Z rental car, only to show up to a building owned by Payless (I never even heard of this company). On the wall behind the cashier on a small slip of paper read: E-Z rental car honored here. I guess Payless owns E-Z rental car? Anyway... the guy in front of us rented the same kind of car we had... at first the teller said that there were none on the lot, saying that if the guy had rented through a 3rd party that they don't check in with Payless (or E-Z car?) to see if they actually do have the car, and that all reservations made directly with the rental company take precedence over anything made with a third part. WE had made a reservation directly with the company! So, we perked up and said HELLO we made a reservation for the same car directly with the company, where's our car? The teller actually ended up finding an available van, then said since the gentleman in front of us came before us, he had to give it to him. But, I thought that direct reservations took precedence? Anyway! It took about an hour to solve the problem with the apathetic worker. The guy was making up all sorts of policies. We eventually had to come back the following day to pick up the van. It was an awful experience and a real rip off. Seriously, since I discovered this company and have been doing my own research on them, I haven't seen one nice thing written about them. Again... how is this company in business?
