| - Let's face it, moving sucks. I've reached a point in my life where it's just not worth it to deal, or to use up all your favors with friends (which ends up costing $ too if you feed them, help pay for gas, and in my case - lots of beer). So, I hired Two Men and a Truck (Mesa). I ordered 3 movers for a 3 BR home. I originally submitted a request for info online, and they followed up with my via phone immediately. The guy who booked my service was very informative and there were also email reminder notifications, etc. which all made it easy. My moving team showed up promptly at 8 am (they gave me a window from 8-9). I had a team of 3, which I highly recommend because this team had their system of working together down pat, dividing up the duties so things moved along faster. My moving team was AWESOME. Jose, Ricky and Jorge are the guys you want. They are friendly, helpful, professional, and casual in a way that doesn't make you feel awkward having them in your home or moving things around you while you are not helping (lol). They are MASTERS at carefully packing your stuff. After walking through my home and getting an overview of my needs, they then shrink-wrapped my furniture, then put pads around it, then shrink-wrapped it again for extra protection. And it didn't take long, they are super fast! This was an awesome thing for me, because my stuff was going into storage. So once we got to the storage unit, they would take it inside, cut off the first layer of wrap and get the pad off, but leave the inside layer - this made me feel much relief knowing my stuff was protected while in storage. They also know how to pack a truck, and a storage unit. They got my entire house packed into one 26-foot truck - Ricky gets the PERFECT tetris score. They did the same thing in my storage unit, saving me from having to upgrade to a larger one. These guys had THE BEST attitudes, were hard workers, very polite, always made sure they understood exactly what I wanted, and treated my stuff with care. My final cost came in almost exactly as it had been estimated. A little pricier than some other moving companies, but Jose, Ricky and Jorge were worth it for the work they did, the attitudes they had and the peace of mind I had as a result. I will use them again when its time to move out of storage, and I will be requesting Jose, Ricky & Jorge while I am at it. I see some other reviews on here with less stars, but I simply didn't have their same experience--mine was great.
Don't forget to tip your individual movers! And have cold water on-hand...not a requirement, but (I feel) appreciated as these guys work hard and move fast in this hot damn Phoenix weather.
