| - I've returned to this store 3 times, and I'm a fan!
This time, I took my favorite short boots I've been wearing for several years. Though I had taken good care of the leather, they got many scratches in the heels, and toes were worn off as well.
I first took them to my closest shoe repair, and they said they can't rewrap heels. With the good past experiences and great reviews here, I took them to Novelty Shoe Rebuilders next day. They did a beautiful job changing the heel wraps and resoling!! They even polished my shoes before returning, which I was amazed. All included, they made it $70! When I called Nick's--another shoe repair that has great reviews--, they told me rewrapping heels itself would be $80-95.
The only minus was, the shoes seemed like all fixed when they came back, with all small scars around the toes gone. But when I used a cleaner after they got some mud on a rainy day, lots of black cream came off and here are all the scars I've seen before... So, they basically put lots of black cream to cover the scars they couldn't cover with new soles...
