So, I'm updating my review after a call, email, and reach out through Yelp! from the owner.
I originally left a 1 star review based on the work I had done. Chad called me, and we talked about my experience. I told him that I was not satisfied with my experience. He made no excuses. In fact, he explained how the situation should have been handled differently.
We basically agreed that the technician who worked on my vehicle made a small but honest mistake. I had my alternator replaced, and in the process of reassembling the part, a wire from my battery was not properly connected. I understand that nobody - no business - is perfect.
I applaud Chad for reaching out. The most basic thing anyone in customer service can do is serve the customer. Listen. Respond. Offer to make things right if possible. Chad did all of these things.
As a Yelp! reviewer, I think it's only fair to the other people who use this site to offer fair, honest reviews. The response from Chad was exactly what a business should do when the customer is not satisfied. Based on my experience with Chad, I have no reason to believe that this is anything but an upstanding shop that stands behind its work.
