  • Larue et Fils is a cute cafe in Villeray serving up third wave coffee to the locals. It really feels like your friendly, neighbourhood cafe. The interior is kind of small but in summer they have exterior seating and given how it's located on a quiet street it looks like it would be really nice to sit out there. The coffee is pretty good and I really enjoyed the iced latte that I got. They also have freshly-baked goods on hand should you be hungry. My chocolate chip cookie wasn't the best I have ever had but it was still decent. If you are here to work there is a wi-fi connection and it is pretty speedy. There is a lack of outlets so you will have to rely on battery power for your computer. This is definitely the kind of coffee shop I would be at all the time if I lived in the neighbourhood. It's cozy, inviting and just all around a good cafe.
