  • This is a great place to volunteer! They have shifts throughout the day and also at offsite locations throughout the school year. Depending on what your task is when you arrive you may be sorting or packing foods or marking items from Walmart out for distribution to the dozens of agencies this organization serves. They can accommodate groups, individuals, and youth but check the website for their hours and special restrictions. Closed toed shoes are a must! And dress in comfortable layers. You're inside a climate controlled warehouse, but it is a warehouse afterall! It's super easy to sign up for time slots on their website and they'll send you a reminder a few days before each shift. Parking is typically first come first serve so I would recommend carpooling whenever possible! On Saturday mornings the lot can be full and you'll be walking a few blocks.
