I decided to fire up my turntable after a few yrs of non-use. I bought a new analog receiver via an online retailer - inexpensive, sounded like crap. I spoke w/ Blake and he explained why the cheap, new stuff sounds like crap. He had at the time, a Luxman receiver from the late 70's/early 80's. I took it home, hooked it up and listened to the sound I remember from the hi-fi glory days. Yum. About 2 mos. later, there was some intermittent channel fade from the left and called Blake. He explained it's likely a dirty switch or two and to bring it down. They cleaned it up and I took it home very happy - no charge. In a couple of yrs, when I'm ready to upgrade to something more serious, I'm heading to this place. A-V Choices purveys a superlative product and the service to back it all up. Yay.
