  • Stayed here on a couples getaway to Las Vegas! The four stars are for the renovated rooms at the Valley Tower. I can't say I love the casino itself. I'm not much of a gambler but if I was I would prefer to spend time in nicer casinos. Harrahs is old, run down, small, very low ceilings, and smoky. When coming and going from our room we walked through the casino floor quickly. However the renovated rooms are a terrific value, perhaps the best on the strip! We paid about $60 a night for our room. Clean and modern feel. King sized bed with a white leather headboard and clean white sheets. Accented with a purple pillow in the middle. The windows were big and bright and the two chairs next to the windows were in excellent condition. The bathroom was modern yet beautiful. Rainfall shower head, glass doors, a lit vanity, ample counter space, and a sliding glass door going from the bathroom to the room. My only complaint is the glass door in the shower is a half door so water can leak onto the floor. Although it is a beautiful design a towel does need to be put on the floor when showering. We had plenty of fresh linens and housekeeping was sufficient. We enjoyed sleeping and relaxing in the room. It was a perfect home base on the strip for a few days, very centrally located and easy to walk to other properties for dining and entertainment. We met up with some friends also visiting the strip at the piano bar at Harrahs and enjoyed live music and a great atmosphere. $8 vodka drink specials which isn't bad for the strip. Other than that we did not dine at Harrahs. I would not visit Harrahs if I was not saying but for an unbeatable value on the strip I recommend the renovated rooms in the Valley Tower. Free parking too- just bring your beater car because the lot is tight.
