| - Where to start with this place...Let me start off by saying I'am one of those patients/customers who brings cookies, donuts and goodies to the front office staff and doctor when I have an appointment. I really appreciate the office staff and doctors and know they work really hard and sometimes may not feel appreciated by their patients/customers.
I have not yet had one appointment here at Kachina Family. I would have been a new patient this coming Friday 06/15/18 for my first new established patient appointment. I made this appointment and scheduled over two weeks ago to see Jaron Fishbeck. I printed out all of the paperwork for new patient online including two additional forms of authorization to gather records from previous doctors. I then went to the office on 06/08/18 to drop off the paperwork (a total of five pages) and this is where I couldn't understand why I was referred by family members to this office. The lady at the front desk (no name badge/maybe it was covered, black curly hair up in a bun, white hair piece, darker skin)...just stares at me and says nothing. There was not one person sitting in the waiting room, I was the only one in that place. It was dead silence. I said hi, and she looked at me like I was a lost puppy. I advised her I wanted to drop of my paperwork ahead of time and would this be okay. She literally took the documents out of my hand and said nothing. I left thought maybe she was having a bad day.
Second incident...I called on 06/12/18 to verify and ask if the office was able to have any luck gathering my previous records...lady that answered didn't say her name (all I know is she sounds like she just woke up and has a piss pour attitude, she wouldn't give me her name when I asked) and she said we don't gather previous records until after your first appointment. I'm sitting here thinking to myself that makes NO sense. Your going to see a new Doctor and they ask you to fill out forms to release authorization to get your previous records before hand but you have to wait until after your first appointment, so what is the Doctor supposed to review or look at? Right this is total common sense. She then didn't answer me and puts me through to someones voicemail. I called back and Ann answered the phone and I asked Ann for the lady I just spoke to name. Of course Ann made it seem like there was a ton of people there and she just couldn't figure it out. She advised my information wasn't even entered into their system yet and nothing was done with the release of records forms...I'm sorry why did I bring these papers to you last week?
Moving on from that. I get a call this morning 06/13/18 around 8am from Ann, saying that she advised the Doctor of my experience and that they are very sorry and also to let me know that Dr. Fishbeck only will have 15 minutes to see me and no more than that for a new established patient appointment and wanted to make sure that was clear. Wait what?? 15 minutes for a new patient?? The family members that referred me here said that has never been the case even in the most recent visits as they are NEVER too busy as you can always get an appointment here with no issues which is one of the reasons they go to Kachina Family. I didn't really understand that. I'm not asking for an hour of time, buy maybe 20-30 minutes for a brand new patient especially if you have had some serious health issues. I called back and advised you can cancel my appointment I will find another Doctor.
What I learned over the past few weeks with my experience at Kachina Family: front and back office staff very unhappy and miserable people with bad attitudes that do not want to deal with the public (except for Ann), Jaron Fishbeck seems to be all about money if what Ann told me this morning is accurate (for every thing you want to discuss/each topic, you have to have one appointment for each, which means he gets paid by the insurance company for each visit), this is not okay and not good practice and If you are going to sit at a front office/desk/answer the phones, please smile or at least pretend to keep the patients happy :)
Please keep in mind I have not had yet my first appointment and can't even imagine how it would be if I did become a patient here. I did verify with the few I know that are already established here that the ONLY reason they continue to go to this office is for the two Doctors, but the office ladies they have had similar experiences with. I have canceled my appointment and will not be a new patient here. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!
