| - What a fun little store! I've been wanting a pair of cowboy boots for a while, but all the other stores I've been to has just one style of boot and one kind of price: expensive $400! It's like those boots were meant for trying on and putting back because they're so expensive. At Saba's Western Wear they retail a handful of fine American hand crafted brands, with exceptional quality. Of course they have those expensive boots upwards of $400, but I found the perfect pair for a mere $220 after tax. Your average boot at Steve Madden is usually around 180-200 and is made in China, don't get me started. For paying a little more you're getting quality hand made Americana stitched sole leather boots. We wound up here from the city within a city fashion center, found a trolley and when we rolled up on this street we jumped off and let the tourism spirit take us over.
Found this gem and walked right in. The staff was wonderful and helpful. I can tell this is a touristy area, but I'm sure it gets it's fair share of locals too because the price tags weren't astronomical. I tried on a plethora of pointy toe cowboy boots and just looked clownish in them. After going through a bunch of bedazzled and embroidered boots I found a pair of simple contemporary bourbon caramel leather ropers that were even more stunning than Frye boots. Tried it on and to my surprise the price was $205. I was literally looking at Frye boots the other day that were $500 and their style and leather had nothing on these Justin's. The lady helping me stretched the calf for me in the back and then let me try it on. I was really flattered with her helpfulness, usually you have to purchase a boot first in order for them to stretch them out for you.
These boots are just amazing, comfortable, durable, fashionable, Americana and hand made, solid. Love them and I hope you will find yourself at a Saba's next time you're in Phoenix.
