Was there for 10 days in 2012 for an orthopedic surgery. So many issues. Worst week of my life. The physicians were third-world witch-doctors. Most of the nursing staff were awful. The CNA's were utterly heinous. Many of them couldn't speak English. It is dangerous to have people that don't know the language working in a hospital environment. That's how medical errors occur. (Even the ladies that cleaned the room were sharper than the CNA's.) Overall, this institution is downright psychotic. Reported the hospital to the State of Nevada, Bureau of Health Care Quality and Compliance. After their "investigation" I got the report back with the usual BS response - "We could find no evidence to support your allegations." My orthopedist was also the Chief of Surgery of this hospital. When I tried to tell him of my ordeal he clearly wasn't interested. He muttered, "Welcome to health care", as he walked out the door.
Very typical experience for Las Vegas. The most corrupt, vile, evil, inept, worthless town in the USA. I'm glad I no longer live there. My advice to you is just to get the heck out of town! And until you can move away, go to any other hospital than this one.
