  • I attended a bachelorette party in Vegas and the bride booked this Disco Bus tour via Groupon for $50 per person. We met at Lavo nightclub at Palazzo at 9pm and were granted entry and given a buy 1 get 1 free drink ticket. Soon after, our group of thirty walked from the Palazzo to the Venetian and we were escorted into Tao where you had to pay for your own drinks. It was so early (around 10pm) there were only a handful of other people here. As we left, just before 11, more people started to trickle in and a line had formed outside. Shucks, seems like we missed the party!! Then we boarded the bus, which was large, new, and comfortable. There weren't enough seats for everyone, so a few people had to stand. It was like a mad dash to claim a seat! There was a stripper pole in the back of the bus and a bunch of flashing lights and strobe lights constantly blazing while we drove. The DJ had a small booth next to the driver and he played a few popular throwbacks, but mostly a mix of current radio jams. The tour advertised "free, unlimited drinks", but we were very disappointed with what we were served. There were clear, plastic cups pre--filled and lined up on the bar filled as we stepped on. They served vodka cranberry, blue punch with vodka, jack and coke, and margarita mix with tequila. They were on ice, but the two I tried were heavy on the juice and skimpy on the liquor. I saw the host reach behind the bar and pour more pre-mixed drinks out of a recycled gallon jug of Arrowhead water. Our first stop on the bus was the iconic Welcome to Las Vegas sign, which took about thirty minutes due to traffic. We stopped for about 15 minutes for photos. The host had a nice camera and took photos of each group, which came out much better than the photos we took on our iPhones; however, I have yet to receive this photo, so I'm not sure if I'll ever see it again. Next, the bus took us to Light nightclub inside the Mandalay Bay, where we paid for our own drinks. We stayed for about an hour and by this time of night, 1230am-ish, the club was packed and the dance floor was crowded. Our next stop was the LAX nightclub inside the Luxor hotel, where you paid for your own drinks. From this point, a ride home was your own responsibility as the host said goodbye for the evening and the bus left. Things I liked: -Xavier, the host was very personable and a natural entertainer. -The tour schedule was punctual. If you weren't back at the meeting spot outside the club on time, too bad, the bus left without you. There wasn't any wasted time standing around waiting for stragglers. -Free re-entry to any club on the tour, later that night, with proof of the stamp on your wrist. However... most clubs are free for ladies, especially if you call ahead, say you're from out of town, and ask to be put on the guest list. So really.. this tour doesn't seem to be worth the price unless you're a gentleman that is expected to pay a hefty cover charge at each club. Things I didn't like: -The unlimited drinks on the bus were not what I was expecting. -The clubs on the list were pretty C-list. These are definitely not your hot, sought after, trendy Las Vegas clubs. -Tao, likely the best club we visited, was at the beginning of the tour early in the night and there were very few people there. -Dress code strictly enforced. Ladies, you MUST wear heels. Ugh. -The bus tour was mostly a walking tour! The bus only drove us to the LV sign, Light, and LAX. Be aware, you will be charged $500 if you vomit on the bus! Would I do this again, no, thank you. I'm very glad we paid the Groupon price and not full price from the website.
