  • Patio or bust, baby!!! As long-time Tempe residents, House of Tricks is among our favorite hidden spots in Tempe, because it really doesn't feel like Tempe and instead feels like a little French getaway tucked inside of - gasp! - greenery! The food and drinks are excellent, and while service is typically not REMARKABLE, the atmosphere makes up for it ten fold. I'm always super pleased with my experiences here - at the bar and on the patio. Speaking of patio, about 3/4 of the seating is outdoors on the front patio. If it's the right time of year, i.e. spring, fall, or winter, I highly recommend you choose the outdoor option. Inside feels a little "older" so House of Tricks is not my go-to during the summer. I much prefer the patio atmosphere!
