I love this place! It's got loads of character and attitude and that is right up my alley.
We wandered in through the back door (from the very convenient parking lot), and there were signs along the way guiding the "Hippies" from the back into the restaurant. My friend actually thought we went in the wrong door because it looks nothing like a restaurant from the walkway.
There are tons of mishmashed and jumbled stickers and posters and strange art plastered haphazardly on the walls. I LOVE IT.
I asked the waitstaff what was good and I was told the Pimento Cheese sandwich. I realize that's probably some kind of Carolinas staple, but I can't bring myself to try it just yet. It's just as foreign to me as the nutterfluffer was in Boston. We'll get there, my pretty.
My companion had the turkey club - straightforward. He liked it.
I had a salad with blackened salmon. I'm usually not fond of anything blackened nor salmon on my salads, but this was really very tasty. I was very surprised.
Food wasn't blow-your-mind, by any means, but it was really good and the atmosphere was fun. Recommend!
