| - Their mission is: Gastronomic indulgence for everyone, which is pretty close to the truth. Wandering from the entrance to the cheese counter in what feels like a labyrinth brings you past tons of gourmet delights and often unique items for a store in Toronto. For me, the cheese is often the ultimate goal, but I rarely can help picking up a few items here and there as I pass through the rest of the store. There is always a staff member near by too, if I need help (or help identifying something).
Eventually, you will make your way to the namesakes of the store, the cheese counter and the cheese vault. This is an incredible experience. The cheese here on offer is fantastic, especially the vault, which is filled with cheese being aged. Stop, try some cheese, check out some unique Cheese Boutique cheeses and perhaps a boar terrine and some fresh bread.
Now, my one quibble. It's about their mission. Gastronomic indulgence, they have spot on. But this isn't for everyone...that is, not for those on a budget. The Cheese boutique is unique and amazing, but be prepared to fork over some cash. Epicurean delights are not cheap.
